Using Personalization

Personalizing an email can dramatically affect your email response rate. First, you need to have the subscriber information you wish to personalize.

You can personalize emails in the subject line or body of an email. Simply use the format ##DataField## in the actual creative.

If you do not have the data field information for all your subscribers, you can set defaults that will automatically populate for those subscribers.

The most common personalization is with the first name of a subscriber, but you can also personalize with images as well. This is another way to get relevant information to your subscribers. If you associate a different image path with your subscribers, you can personalize with those images in the email creative.

For example, to include the subscriber's first name, you would use:

Dear ##FirstName##,
