BEHAVIORAL TRACKING ACTIONS

Behavioral Tracking Actions will track your subscriber's activity beyond the email click. By placing pixels on pages throughout your website, you will get added insight into which pages your subscribers have visited and how they respond to the emails they click.

You can also enter the Expected Revenue Per Action. This number can be used to calculate your monthly revenue by multiplying by the number of actions received.

Behavioral Tracking Actions can be applied to any Creative in the edit screen.

SETTING UP A NEW BEHAVIORAL TRACKING ACTION:

Navigate to Behavioral Tracking Actions Screen:

Open the Creatives drop-down menu located on the navigation tab to the left of the page. Click Behavioral Tracking Actions to open the screen.

Adding New Behavioral Tracking Action

Navigate to the + Add New link in the upper right hand corner of the page. You will need to scroll down to the bottom of the page to see the information fields to enter the Behavioral Tracking Action NameExpected Revenue Per Action, and Brand. Remember, the Brand is only for organizational purposes.

Click Add to save your new Behavioral Tracking Action. It will be added to the bottom of the list.

If you wish to change the Name, Expected Revenue Per Action, or Brand, just click the Edit icon .

Get Pixel Code

In order to track the behavior, you need a Pixel Code to apply to your website's code. MarketTraq will automatically generate the code for you, so all you need to do is copy the code and paste it onto the corresponding page on your website.

To generate the Pixel Code, click Get Pixel

The code will be automatically generated and displayed at the bottom of the page.

Applying the Behavioral Tracking Action to a Creative

Navigate to the Creatives Overview page and find the Creative you wish to add the Behavioral Tracking Action to. You can either click the Edit icon  under Action or click on the Creative's name. Then, scroll down to the Behavioral Tracking Actions section, find your newly-created BTA and click add to assign the action you just created.

Hint: The same Behavioral Tracking Action can be assigned to multiple Creatives. Similarly, each Creative can be assigned multiple Behavioral Tracking Actions.

Viewing Behavioral Tracking Action Results

After the Creative's drop is complete, you can view the Behavioral Tracking Action stats on the Performance Reports page. To get to the page, click on Analytics in the navigation bar and then open Performance Reports.

The Creatives will be automatically organized by Drop Date/Time. To view the Drop Details, click on the Drop Date/Time.

On the Drop Details page, you will be able to see not just the Recipients, Opens / Unique Opens, Clicks / Unique Clicks, and Bounces, but also the results of each Behavioral Tracking Action you assigned to the Creative.
